Rural society and agricultural communities inspire me. Specifically, it is the people in these rural and agricultural communities whose daily struggles and interdependence on natural resources, which have been largely ignored by the bordering urban population, inspires me. Although the depletion and destruction of forests and other natural resources have lead to mass environmental destruction in the form of floods, soil erosion and land slides, the sustainable practices of rural communities... I came to be involved with TIG for networking purposes, sharing experiences and learning about other cultures and I must say I have not been disappointed. TIG has helped me attain those goals and meet people of different backgrounds, cultures etc and this has taught me tolerance and acceptance. So I believe TIG can help you achieve some of one's goals. Every time I talk to my friends and new acquaintances and tell them about my volunteer works, they always ask me these questions. What inspires you? Who/What motivates you? Do you feel worthy and fulfilled of it? I always answer them, its my passion that drives me to do all these. My passion to serve my fellow citizen especially the youth. Being a volunteer makes me fulfilled of what I am doing. NO ONE CAN BEAT THE HEART OF A VOLUNTEER. ( lire plus...)
